If you are searching for the most compact, efficient, and powerful hang-on-tank skimmer on the market, look no further. AquaC has finished development of the Remora Pro- the most radical design in skimming to date! Using the same patent pending spray-induction system as their acclaimed in-sump skimmers, AquaC`s Remora Pro is simply the best hang-on available today. The Remora Pro is rated for tanks from 40 to 120 gallons and requires a scant 3.25″ clearance from the back of the tank. That is slim! You`ll appreciate its low profile, only 7.5″ of vertical clearance is required. Standard equipment include a Rio 1400 or Mag-Drive 3 water pump, adjustable collection cup, and a special baffle system which prevents any bubbles from entering the aquarium.

Kind of on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. I bought this at Marine Depot and got a pretty good price on it. Is a pain to clean a little bit but you must clean it. It goes from making a ton of foam to making no foam when it is dirty.

Excellent skimmer. I actually have this skimmer hanging off the side of my sump. I didn’t want to hang it off the back of the tank and have everyone see it. The skimmer is great and produces a huge amount of dark colored foam and liquid. Cleaning is easy all you have to do is empty the cup and wash it out. I do clean the injector once per month. To do this you must remove a screw and insert the included brush. Very easy to do. Works great and definitly worth the money.

Ok first of all for the price Yes its a pretty good skimmer. But it has some bad design flaws. One is that the overflow hole in the collection cup is to low!! It could be moved up almost 2″ which would let you to set the cup higher. You can still set the cup higher but its a hassle.
The second is the use of the Mag 3 pump which is a decent pump But don’t ever let the water go down in the overflow box bc these pumps burn up in a heartbeat. I’ve had mine now for like 1 1/2 yrs and I’m on my 3rd pump. And speaking of the overflow box and pump. It’s a REALLY tight fit to even get the pump in the box!! There is absolutely no room for any kind of prefilter.
If you can get by these deficencies. Then yeah it does the job
